The CENTER C318 is a data logging hygrometer that steps up from the C315/C316 spot-checkers with the addition of 16,000-record on-board logging, a built-in clock, and interchangeable digital probes — making it the field-ready choice for professionals who need a compact, accurate humidity instrument that can also build a timestamped environmental record. Measuring 0–100% RH (±2.0% RH — tighter than the ±3% RH of the C315/C316) and –20°C to +60°C (±0.8°C) using an electronic capacitance polymer film sensor combined with an NTC thermistor, it also calculates dew point automatically. Response times are fast: 10 seconds for temperature and 60 seconds for humidity (t90).

The detachable digital probe (94 mm × 15 mm diameter) connects to the meter body and can be extended with an optional extending cable for hard-to-reach locations — a practical advantage for HVAC, cleanroom, museum, pharmaceutical storage, and building envelope assessments. Logged data transfers to PC via the included RS232 interface and SE-318 software (downloadable from the product page). The dual display shows humidity and temperature simultaneously, while the tilt stand lets the meter sit upright on a bench during logging sessions. Auto shut-off conserves battery when the unit is not actively being used.
