Description

The MR325 displays two scales from a single sample: % alcohol volume (0–25% v/v) and % Brix (0–40%), both at 0.2% resolution and ±0.2% accuracy, without batteries or electronics. This combination makes it particularly useful for monitoring fermentation progress — tracking residual sugar as it converts to alcohol — and for a quick ABV check of finished beer, wine, cider, or mead in the brewery or winery.
Note that refractometer alcohol readings on fermented samples require a correction factor (since dissolved solids affect the refractive index), but the dual scale provides a practical field reference that most home brewers and small producers rely on alongside a hydrometer. No ATC is listed for this model — calibrate at or near the expected sample temperature for best results.
