MR90ATC Honey refractometer is used for measuring concentrations of Brix and water in honey.
The MR90ATC is specifically designed for honey analysis, displaying three scales simultaneously: % Brix (58–90%), water content (12–27%), and degrees Baumé (38–43 B) — the key trio of measurements needed to assess honey maturity and fermentation risk. Honey with more than approximately 20% water is at risk of fermenting, so the water content scale is the critical quality checkpoint for any beekeeper or packer.
Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) ensures readings remain reliable without manual adjustment, and no batteries are needed — just place a small smear of honey on the prism, close the cover, and read all three scales through the eyepiece in seconds.
