COMET SYSTEM s.r.o. is a Czech manufacturer of industrial temperature, humidity, CO2, atmospheric pressure and two-state measurement instruments. Pacific Sensor Tech is an Australian distributor of the full COMET range, with more than 270 models held locally and supported in Australia and New Zealand. (COMET SYSTEM instruments are unrelated to any other brand trading under the Comet name.)
The range divides into four families. COMET Web Sensors are Ethernet and PoE instruments that serve readings over a network – browse them by Ethernet output or PoE. Transmitters output an analogue signal to a PLC or BMS, in either 4-20mA or 0-10V. Data loggers record to internal memory for later download over USB, or report wirelessly over WiFi. Multi-channel monitoring systems such as the MS6D and MS55D combine sixteen inputs with alarming and reporting.

By measured value, PST stocks COMET instruments for temperature, relative humidity, CO2, atmospheric pressure, dew point and two-state / dry contact signals, with RS232 and RS485 variants where a serial output is required.
Every COMET instrument is configured with free software. COMET Vision and TSensor set up and calibrate individual devices; COMET Database and COMET Cloud collect and alarm across a whole installation. If you are not sure which package a given model needs, contact us – we support these locally.
A COMET Web Sensor is a networked measuring instrument with a built-in web server. It connects over Ethernet or PoE and serves live temperature, humidity, CO2 or pressure readings to a browser, SNMP, Modbus TCP or the COMET Cloud, with email and SNMP trap alarms. The T3510, T7610 and P8610 are the most commonly specified models in Australia.
Handheld loggers and single sensors are configured with the free TSensor utility. COMET Vision is the current desktop application for setup, download and calibration. For multi-device installations, COMET Database collects and alarms across a site, and COMET Cloud does the same as a hosted subscription. PST supplies and supports all four.
A transmitter outputs a continuous analogue signal (4-20mA or 0-10V) to a PLC or building management system. A Web Sensor serves readings over a network and needs no separate controller. A data logger records to internal memory for later download, and works with no infrastructure at all. Many applications use more than one.
Yes. Most of the Web Sensor range — including the T3610, T6641, T7610 and P8610 — is powered over the Ethernet cable, so no local power supply is required. Non-PoE models use an external adapter such as the A1825.
Yes. Pacific Sensor Tech distributes COMET across both Australia and New Zealand, so New Zealand customers order through PST and receive the same local support, stock access and warranty terms as Australian customers.
