COMET humidity sensors use a capacitive sensing element — a thin polymer film whose electrical capacitance changes as it absorbs or releases moisture from the surrounding air. This gives stable, drift-resistant readings across the 0–100% RH range, paired in every product on this page with a temperature sensor for combined T+RH output.
This range covers every signal type PST supplies: 4-20mA and 0-10V for direct PLC/BMS analogue inputs, RS232 and RS485 for serial/Modbus networks, and Ethernet, PoE or WiFi for networked installations. For direct control rather than monitoring alone, the COMET H3060, H3061, H3331 and H6020 combine humidity sensing with built-in relay outputs — switching fans, dehumidifiers or HVAC equipment directly from a humidity setpoint without a separate controller.
