The MR50ATC is a handheld optical refractometer for measuring % Brix sugar concentration in aqueous solutions, covering the range most commonly needed for grape and fruit sugar testing, jam and preserve production, wort analysis, and general food quality inspection. With a 1% Brix resolution and ±1% accuracy across its 0–50% range, it delivers fast, reliable field results without batteries or electronics — simply place a few drops of sample on the prism, close the cover, and read the result through the eyepiece.
Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) eliminates the need for manual correction tables, ensuring consistent readings between roughly 10–30°C. A practical, durable, entry-level option for operations that need broad-range Brix screening at minimal cost.
